Short guides, no jargon.

Plain answers to the things people ask us most. The scam rules are also inside your app, where the app can read them to you.

Stay safe

How to know it is us.

Someone may call you pretending to be Amaan. Remember these three rules and you can hang up with confidence. They are the same rules shown inside your app.

We will NEVER ask for a verification code.

If a caller asks for a one-time code sent to your phone, hang up. Do not share the code with anyone, even someone who says they are from Amaan.

We will NEVER ask for your bank PIN.

We do not need your ATM PIN or your mobile wallet password to protect you. Nobody from Amaan will ever ask for it.

Check Amaan actions in the app.

Amaan will not ask you to move money or change your cover during an unexpected call. Open your app and check your payments and your cover yourself.

If you think you have been targeted

Contact Amaan support from inside your app so we can protect your account. The app also shows you how to report the scam to the Ministry of Interior.

Checklist

Keep your family details current.

A claim invitation goes to the phone number you recorded for the person you named. If that number is wrong, the invitation goes to the wrong place. Five minutes now can save your family a great deal later.

  • Use the full international number.Include the plus sign and the country code, exactly as the app asks.
  • Tell your family member they are named. They should know an Amaan invitation may one day arrive, and that it will never ask them for a code or a PIN over the phone.
  • Ask them to confirm their number. The app can send them a secure SMS so they confirm the number themselves.
  • Update the app when a number changes. You can change family details any time from the Family section.
  • Keep your own number current too. That is the number we call you back on. If you lose it, the app has a safe way to get your account back.
